Jaap Vermulm
Born and raised in Rotterdam, The Netherlands I found out at young age that school wasn’t really my ‘’thing’’. As soon as I could I left with my father for Kinshasa, Dem. Rep. Congo, after a few years over there in all kinds of trade. I came back to The Netherlands and I started at the company where I had my job in the weekends when I was still in school, but now for full time as a stand builder on local fresh markets. It was on these markets I came in contact with nut and dry fruit retailers/whole sellers. Our conversations lead to an idea of cashew nut trading and the more I understood the more I got interested which made me resign this job in 2014. Since than I gathered a huge quantity of intelligence and know how in the cashew business. It is with this knowhow I now want to start my own cashew nut processing facility and make a difference for both supplier and client.
M.A.P. which is the forward abbreviation of Mixed Agricultural Products and the backward abbreviation of Produit Agricole Mélangé
We aim to become a processing and trading company known for its support among farmers, including healthcare and for taking responsibility and fair trading among our customers. Together - M.A.P., the farmers, and our customers - we will be able to build a fair, sustainable, and successful future.

Fairtrade products made by local farmers in Ivory Coast Africa. The logo symbolizes the products itself and the continent of origin. The colors are the colors of the national flag of Ivory Coast.
